Buddy, a loyal Golden Retriever, has been Hannah Foraker’s faithful companion throughout her entire life. However, when Hannah turned 21 and had to depart for basic training in Oklahoma, she had no choice but to leave Buddy behind.

After three long months, when Hannah finally returned home for a Christmas break, she was filled with anticipation to see Buddy again. And Buddy, too, eagerly awaited Hannah’s return.

Hannah had raised Buddy from a puppy, and now, in old age, Buddy grapples with arthritis and hearing loss. Nevertheless, nothing can dampen Buddy’s enthusiasm to greet Hannah. The moment Buddy catches sight of Hannah, she buries her head in Hannah’s lap and begins to cry, expressing an overwhelming mix of joy and deep affection.
