Dolphins are renowned for their intelligence, affectionate nature, friendliness, and kindness, making them beloved creatures. They have often acted as saviors for people stranded in the open sea. The recent tale of the rescue of the distressed dog, Turbo, from drowning serves as yet another testament to the endearing character of these remarkable animals.
On a Sunday evening in Marco Island, Florida, USA, Turbo, a dog, managed to escape from his house when the gate was left open. Distraught, his owner, Miss Cindy Burnett, tirelessly searched for him until 2 am, but her efforts were in vain. “I’ve driven along this road multiple times, calling out Turbo’s name as I walked, but I still couldn’t find him,” Burnett expressed. Little did anyone expect that Turbo, while wandering around, would slip and fall into a nearby canal. This canal served as a waterway for islanders returning home by boat from the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, due to the high embankment, Turbo was unable to climb out.
Fifteen hours later, Burnett received the news that Turbo had been found by some friends who had come to his rescue. Fortunately for Turbo, a group of dolphins had come across the struggling dog in the water and immediately swam around him. They tirelessly churned the water, signaling for help from nearby residents.
The dolphins’ efforts paid off as the D’Alessandro couple, who happened to be fishing nearby, heard the sound of water splashing. “We noticed two dolphins creating commotion in the water,” recalled Ms. Audrey. Intrigued by the unusual activity, Ms. Audrey approached the scene and was startled to see an exhausted Doberman struggling in the water. Without hesitation, she dialed 911 to request immediate assistance. Soon after, the rescue team arrived at the scene and successfully brought Turbo to safety on the shore.
As for Miss Burnett, seeing her pet dog that had been missing all night and almost drowning made her overjoyed. But she was still very worried when she saw that Turbo had a few scratches, shaking in a state of panic and dehydration. Turbo must have been immersed in sea water for ten hours straight, then exhausted when he had to struggle under the water to ask for help. After Turbo was pulled up, the dolphins also silently disappeared into the water. Thanks to the intelligent dolphins and her wife Audrey, Turbo was reunited with his family and quickly recovered from the warmth and medical care. The dog probably won’t dare to return to the canal for a while unless he is reunited with the dolphin benefactors who saved his life. Once again, no one can deny the kindness of adorable dolphins out in the sea. And based on their special behaviors, researchers have shown that dolphins are the most intelligent animals on the planet. They have the ability to perceive language and perception like humans. Not only that, people also love dolphins because of their winding dances and clear singing. Some people joke that dolphins are friendly ambassadors of the sea, they symbolize love, kindness and beauty in harmony with nature.
