Melissa and Tyler Lucas, animal rescuers, welcomed a pair of kittens to their shelter. The lovely kittens required a foster home and a lot of love because they were still young and energetic.
Ida, a black kitten, and Isabella, commonly known as Izzy, a brown kitten, are two charming and loving sisters who have been inseparable since they came into the shelter’s care.
The kittens seemed to like being in the company of humans. Izzy, in particular, seemed at ease among people and liked being pampered, closing her eyes and falling asleep in her guardians’ arms in a matter of seconds.
Izzy, despite her sweetness, still need assistance in finishing her bottle. She was grateful for all of the attention she received and looked forward to long conversations with her adoptive father after meals. It took the kittens a few tries to get used to weaning, but once Ida got the hang of it and ditched the bottle for good, Izzy quickly followed suit.
The kitties had a great time playing games and exploring the area like two seasoned explorers. The two sisters approached their caretakers after completing fatigued to take a sleep with their host family.
Melissa explains:
“Before Izzy could relax, she needed some time to cuddle up. She’s insane, yet she cuddles up with the same zeal with which she approaches everything else.”
The kittens’ foster mother assures:
“These girls are completely devoted to their loved ones.” If a human gets close enough to climb, wrestle, kiss, or snuggle, you can know Ida and Izzy will jump at the chance (often literally). This makes it tough to be productive with them, but it also results in some really cute moments.”
Izzy, the naughty dog, wanted to do something out of the ordinary one day, and she was adamant about it. In an instant, the brazen ball of fur climbed on the back of the resident dog, JD, and gave him a brief hug around the neck.
She would come to her foster mother for cuddling and attention when she was finally weary of all her travels and ready for night.
Melissa recalls:
“She’d rant at me nonstop from the back of the couch.” In 2.75 seconds, he had her up and sleeping. I’d wake up, place her on Ty’s lap, bounce to the back of the sofa, and shout at her once more. These girls are in desperate need, but Izzy is there to help.
They were finally ready to fly out of the nest and find their happy home after ten weeks with the babies.
Melissa continued, ”
“It took a long time for these small girls to relax. Especially Izzy, they figured things out at their own rate. But we made it, and I’m very proud of them. I’m looking forward to whatever their next chapter holds.”
