Recently, the Coachbuild division of the British super luxury car company has just revealed its latest custom creation, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, a unique work designed specifically for three special customers. with a value of 28 million USD each.

Previously, Rolls-Royce also launched the Sweptail coupe at Villa d’Este in 2017. At that time, with a price of 12.8 million USD, the Sweptail became the most expensive new car of all time.

Rolls-Royce’s new Boat Tail uses the same luxurious architectural design and twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12 engine as models such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Ghost and Cullinan, but the body is completely handmade. constructed with hammer-shaped aluminum panels.

Although the three cars share a similar exterior, each is customized to the individual owner’s preferences. The first Rolls-Royce introduced was finished in a unique shade of blue and named after the owner.

Rolls-Royce says the color evokes a nautical connotation, fanciful in the shade but highlighted with crystal shards in the sun. The wheels are the only part of the car that is finished in bright blue.

Rolls-Royce says it took four years to build this car from scratch, so every detail was custom designed. A new feature on the pantheon grille at the front of the car has a unique glowing logo.

Details such as the windshield surrounding the body are intended to give the Boat Tail a yacht-like appearance. The rear of the car has a wooden rear floor covered with Caleidolegno veneer, which has never been used by the car company on Rolls-Royce before. Beneath this wooden panel lies Boat Tail’s most unique element, a storage unit.

With just a push of a button, the car’s rear compartment will open butterfly-style, revealing inside a refrigerator with two pairs of champagne. The area also features silver cutlery engraved with “Boat Tail” and ceramic plates from Christofle in Paris.

Passengers can enjoy all of these amenities on the vehicle’s built-in hinged cocktail table and matching bar stools. Of course, those stools use the same solid blue leather found in the interior. The Boat Tail is like a mobile bar with a V12 engine.

The British automaker created 1,813 completely new parts for the new Boat Tail, even the seats in the cockpit were custom-made. This car includes House of BOVET watches, one for the owner and one for his wife or lover. There is even a place for the clock mounted in the car cabin.

The Boat Tail is not a traditional convertible. The car has a removable, umbrella-like canopy so the owner and his three passengers can bask in the sun. In the event of inclement weather, a temporary cover should be used for static purposes only.

Previously, the UK brand had restricted customers from changing the styling of their bikes, but the new Boat Tail sees that rule revised.

Rolls-Royce says all future Coachbuilt creations will remain legal, but the company won’t design anything too outlandish. Rolls-Royce also did not disclose the development costs of the new Boat Tail.
